Helping You Do More with Your Dentrix System

You probably know that when you’re treating a patient, you sometimes need to change their appointment’s planned procedures. For example, maybe you may need to change the procedure code and/or change the surfaces of the tooth you are working on. You can easily make the change(s) from Appointment Book. Double-click the appointment and under Reason, click the Tx button.

In the Treatment Plan window, click the Edit button.

This opens the Edit or Delete Procedure dialog box where you can make changes to the procedure as needed.

After the edit, click Close and the treatment-planned procedure is updated with your changes.

Then close the Treatment Plan window and the changes are also made to the patient’s appointment.

This process can come in handy. For example, when you have treatment planned an MI amalgam but it turns out the patients is going to need an MID instead. You can use that Edit option to quickly update the appointment without having to go into the Chart or Treatment Planner, and it will be corrected before you post the appointment complete.
