Helping You Do More with Your Dentrix System

Did you know you can customize the tooltip text that appears when you hover over a procedure button in the Chart? For example, if you have new dental assistants who are just learning dental terminology, you can customize the tooltip associated with procedure D3330 to say “Root Canal” instead of “Endodontic therapy.”

How To

  1. In the Patient Chart, from the Setup menu, select Procedure Buttons Setup.
  2. Select the button set you want to modify from the drop-down list, select the individual procedure button you want to change, and then click Edit.
  3. In the Select Tooltip Text group box, select Use Custom Text, and then edit the default text in the field with your own text.
  4. Make any other changes to the procedure button as needed, and then click OK.
